Chance

We received a call from a member of the public who had found a foal in a sink hole on Llangynidr mountain.  She was injured with a bad gash on her head.  Her mother was nowhere to be seen.  They managed to free her from the hole and their son carried her off the mountain.  They took her home in their car and started to look for help.  The RSPCA weren't able to assist and neither were the vets, however they did offer them advice and our phone number.  At 10pm the family transported Chance to Coxstone where she was immediately made comfortable and round the clock hand feeding began.  She is very bruised but has now been checked over by Abbey Equine Vets and is looking very strong.  It is believed she is only a few days old.

Here she is a day later drinking her milk with her stuffed dog as a companion.
