OLIVER - ORPHANED COLT FOAL - DOB 08.05.10

He was found abandoned on Gelligaer on the evening of the 12th May.  We believe he was between 2 and 4 days old when we picked him up.  People tried to find his mother for a whole day but she was no where to be seen and he would have died had we left him there.  A stallion had been seen chasing the mares off their foals in the area and we believe this is what might have happened to Oliver and his mum never came back for him.  He was collected in the back of a car as he was so small and is being hand reared and fed with foal milk replacer every three hours during the day.  He is a strong little chap and has lots of attitude, and he can be seen at our Open Day on July 11th.
