Caerphilly Council Trading Standards Animal Welfare department contacted us as they were involved in a round up of ponies with the commoners at Manmeol Common, Pontypool.  There were four ponies needing care and attention and we were asked if we could take them all in.  Unfortunately we are completely full at the moment but agreed that we could take in one really bad case and that we would make room.  Lucky's mum unfortunately had to be put to sleep due to the very bad condition she was in, and there were another two ponies which had to be put to sleep on the same day.

Lucky is approximately 6 months old and is a very fine Welsh Section A pony, he is currently in the same stable as his new friend Hamish.  He is full of worms and in need of care and attention, he has not been handled before and is very wary of humans.  We are sure that once he has had time to settle in and with daily handling and care that he will be fine.
