Inca was collected from the newport area on the 21st April 2011 after we received a report of a horse who was very thin and who had been lying down for two days. When we went to collect her we could see that she had recently foaled as she still had milk, and we were told that her foal had died. Her feet were extremely long and cracked and she was in so much pain that she didn't know which foot to put to the floor first. She is very nervous of people and we are gently working with her to try to gain her trust.
You can see in this picture how long her hooves are. Her feathers cover up the length of the front hooves when her feet are on the floor.
