Lady B - April 2011

LADY BLAENAU

We were called out at 8.30pm on the evening of the 24th April by the police.  A grey mare had been found in a ditch, in the Blaeneu area unable to get out with a very bad cut to her near hind leg.  The fire brigade were involved with rescuing the mare with specialist equipment and we were asked if we could take her in as she would need specialist treatment to her leg.  The team got back to the stables at around 11.30pm and then treated the leg till the vet could get the SWHP the following morning.  She is very sweet natured and we hope that she will recover from her injury.  We also collected a colt who was with her as we could not leave him there on his own.
