Busy Month of Fundraising!

June 30, 2017 (0:00AM)

During June we held a Promise Auction at The Royal Oak in Monmouth where we raised just over £1800.  Rob Escott the auctioneer and his assistant Ron Gough certainly made it an enjoyable evening!  It wasn't well supported by bidders but those who attended were very generous with their bids and some bargains were had.

On Sunday 4th June we held our very popular fun ride here at Coxstone.  The staff and volunteers worked extremely hard ensuring the course was ready and it was enjoyed by over 80 riders.  There was also an option to do clear round and this was popular with the young horses looking for experience.  Over £1400 was raised from the fun ride and refreshments.

At the end of June we had our Summer Open Day.  Sadly we were missing our star fundraiser Maggie King but everyone seemed to enjoy the day.  We had Mojo Activity with their climbing wall which they kindly donated free of charge and a parade of several horses who have been rehabilited and now live in adopted homes.  The weather was kind to us and we raised just over £3,700.

Some supporters held they're own fundraising events including a Pimms party and an open garden.  We are sincerely grateful for their generous donations.

We have a very small but dedicated team of fundraisers headed by Sue Hughes and we cannot express how grateful we are to Sue, the rest of the fundraising team and our staff for the time and effort they put in to organise and help at these events.
