Stuart is a colt foal who was found abandoned by his mum on Gelligaer Common.  He was lame in one of his back legs, very dehydrated and had very bad weatherbeet.  We collected him from the mountain in early September 08 at just a couple of weeks old.  He started drinking milk out of a bowl in the early hours of the day after we brought him back to Coxstone and he has not stopped drinking since.

We have been very worried about his back leg as he is still lame, and just last week we decided to have him x-rayed.  The good news is that although he has an old injury to his femur, probably due to being kicked, that in time he should make a recovery.

He is a wonderful little chap and his future looks good.
