FARLEY
Out of Silent Pool By Pharley DOB 1994
Farley was found in a DIY yard near Newport. He has been raced in the past and won £7,000 on the flat and over hurdles.
We took him in on 11th May 2008, he had been wearing a full rug including a neck cover in 75 degrees plus heat. When his rug was taken off he was found to be infested with lice, he had a body score of less than 1 and he had mud fever. He had some winter coat left but the rest of his body had bald places and was very sore from the lice. He also had an infected skin condition.
We usually find in a case like this that the animal will have a huge worm burden, this was not so in Farley's case and was very good news for him. He has not stopped eating since he came to us and as you can see in the next picture he is well on the road to recovery and a delightful character. Picture taken at the beginning of July 2008
